Living in Deux-Sèvres, department with the largest goat herd in France, with more than 150,000 heads, I had to go see in my animated books if there were not some to add!
Indeed, I found, but mainly in old albums, to believe that goat gente no longer really popular with contemporary authors and paper engineers.
Of course, we will always find in the pictorial evocation of life on farms, but they are far from being the star..
As long as in the Grimm brothers' tale "The wolf and the seven little goats", if from time to time it inspires some artists of the paper, it remains marginal.
Where is the time when, in 1893, the German Lothar Meggendorfer, considered as one of the greatest innovators and designers of mobile books, showed a goat rearing up in front of a brave tamer ?
So, if you have knowledge of animated books where the goat plays a main role, do not hesitate to tell me, I remain interested.
Meanwhile in the "Deux-Sèvres", we always feast on their incomparable cheeses and this is the essential!
